I got a flyer on my front door last week for "dry cleaning with a conscience." It's a Chanhassen-based eco-friendly, online dry cleaning service called Vantagio.com.
Vantagio is the SimonDelivers of dry cleaning - they will pick up and drop off at your house and you do not have to be home.
Vantagio claims that 98% of existing dry cleaners are possibly the biggest source of pollution and health risk in your nieghborhood. They use perchloroethylene, which is being phased out (banned) in California, is considered a "probable carcinogen" by the EPA, and is responsible for polluting 75% of nationwide Superfund sites.
Vantagio pioneers the use of an eco, and skin-friendly cleaning process.
Prices are competitive with other non-eco-cleaners and offer unlimited $20 referral credits so try it out and, if you are happy with the service, recommend it to friends!
